Wildlife Photography Workshops

Learn from an Award-Winning Wildlife Specialist

Whether you’re just starting your wildlife photography journey or looking to refine your skills, I offer a range of workshops designed to help you capture stunning images while deepening your understanding of the natural world.

My approach combines technical expertise with a genuine passion for wildlife. Having spent countless hours in the field observing and photographing everything from seabirds to mammals, I understand that great wildlife photography isn’t just about the right camera settings – it’s about patience, respect for nature, and truly understanding your subjects.

Each workshop is designed to be relaxed and enjoyable, with small group sizes ensuring you get the personal attention you deserve. I’ll share the techniques and fieldcraft skills I’ve developed over years of practice, helping you not just take better photos, but develop a deeper connection with the wildlife you’re photographing. Whether we’re perched on clifftops watching gannets dive or learning the fundamentals online, my goal is simple: to help you capture images you’re truly proud of while fostering a lasting love for wildlife photography.

Real Field Experience

I’ve photographed wildlife across the Globe's most iconic locations, from the seabird colonies of Scotland to Orangutang's in the Borneo rainforest.. This hands-on experience means I can share practical, tried-and-tested techniques that actually work in the field.

Passionate Teaching

I genuinely love sharing my knowledge and seeing others develop their skills. My workshops are relaxed, friendly, and designed to build your confidence while pushing your creative boundaries.

Small Groups, Big Impact

I keep workshop numbers small to ensure everyone receives personalised attention and guidance. You’re not just another face in the crowd – your development matters to me.

Beyond the Technical

While we’ll cover all the camera settings and techniques you need, my workshops go deeper. You’ll learn to read wildlife behaviour, understand light and weather conditions, and develop the fieldcraft that transforms good photographers into great ones.

Don’t Just Take My Word For It
Here’s what people are saying about my workshops:

Jane

Seabird workshop
" Ali was not only incredible knowledgeable about the wildlife but also an expert in her subject. She explained everything with patience and nothing was ever too much trouble. What stood out most was the follow up - after sharing some of my photos with her a few days later, she provided a thoughtful and constructive critique that helped me see where I could improve. I learnt so much from the whole experience both during the workshop and afterwards. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to improve their photography skills.”

Jo

I can't thank you enough I would highly recommend Ali very professional.”.

Sarah

Seabird workshop
What can I say! A perfect day with Ali where I learnt so much about bird photography. Ali is great at explaining things and showing you on your camera where needed. The pace of the day was perfect, lots of help and support but not overbearing, Ali is there to help at any stage. We had so much fun and I came away a lot more confident in trying a few things on my own in the future. Also came away with some lovely photos I'm really proud of. Would highly recommend!”
